Mindfulness Meditation and Chair Yoga

Ground your mind and body with Mindfulness Meditation and Chair Yoga. Spend a peaceful half-hour with a guided meditation.

Chair yoga is a twist on traditional yoga, making it accessible for any age and ability.

There are two 30 minute classes: the first class begins at 12:30 and the second class begins at 1:00

Our Philly Powered partners at Roots2Rise and Yoga Habit are providing stellar yoga instruction, while 3 of the best AquaZumba instructors in the city will help us shake a tail feather for health.  Classes are meant for adults of all ages and fitness levels, so come stretch out the stress at pool-side yoga or beat the heat while shaking your hips in AquaZumba.

Join this FREE exercise class with ULiftU, a program that helps re-entering citizens become certified as CrossFit trainers. The class uses body weight exercises and strength training, but all moves are modifiable! EVERY Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 6pm to 7pm at Martin Luther King Rec Center.

Adults of all ages and fitness levels are welcome, the instructor can adjust exercises as needed! Check out their video to learn more about ULiftU below:

Maniac Monday Strength and Cardio Training

Bring a friend and a water bottle to join in this cardio workout. Expect to make new friends and start to see new results after attending this class in West Philly, Mondays at 6:30pm.

$5 per class which includes pre-workout beverage and post workout smoothie. Ask for Melanie.

This program is intended for all Philadelphians with an interest in walking (and rolling) which includes individuals of varying abilities. Walking is ageless, sexless, and timeless. Male or female, young or old, walking or rolling— ALL people are encouraged to participate the walk groups.

Boxer’s Trail 5K Training

If you are looking to show your body some fitness love, spend a little more time outdoors, or get to know your neighbors better join Strawberry Mansion’s FREE 8-week interval training program to build up your mind and your muscles.

Lee Scottlorde will be leading joyful movement activities for those of all abilities starting Tuesday, July 17th.

Join Lee every Tuesday evening at 6pm and every Saturday morning at 9am for the 8 weeks leading up to the event. Working out not only strengthens your body but also the activates your mind and there’s no better place to start your fitness journey than the The Boxers’ Trail, great the same trail that famous boxing champ Joe Frazier practiced on.
