WeWalkPHL offers 17 park locations throughout Philadelphia where community members can explore the outdoors, meet new people, or go on a walk or run. Sugar Roane, a woman who joined the WeWalkPHL community to improve her physical and mental health, has described the organization as a “lifesaver.” Sugar remarks that “When you look good and you feel good about yourself, it changes a whole lot about you. It changes you mentally. And if I get stressed or I get depressed, I take a walk.”

The community is stronger and closer because of the network and support provided by WeWalkPHL. “They encouraged me and helped me and let me know that it wasn’t a race. It was at my own pace. I got so much great feedback from them that I continue to walk,” said Sugar.
